David Zapatka has been shooting network video since 1990. Prior to that he worked in the Providence television news market for 10 years after graduating from Rhode Island College with a communications degree. In 1995 he founded Mill Cove Video Productions, located in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. He is married with three children.  
Zapatka Wins Second Emmy!

Mill Cove Video Productions is pleased to announce that David Zapatka has won a National Sports Emmy Award for his contribution to the NBC Olympic coverage in Vancouver. The Emmy for Outstanding Technical Achievement Studio was awarded in July at the annual Sports Emmy Awards in New York. Zapatka worked as an “Electronic Camera Operator” with soundman John O’Connor during the games. This is Zapatka’s second National Sports Emmy and follows his first from the 2002 NBC coverage of the Salt Lake Winter Olympics.

David Zapatka and Mill Cove Video Productions are also pleased to announce he is now local hire in New York City and has rented a "crash" apartment on the city's Upper East Side to facilitate working within the area for his clients. Zapatka will maintain his New England residence in Rhode Island and is now local hire for Boston/New Haven/Hartford/Providence/New York City area.

Zapatka is a union member with NABET and IBEW and a 30-year member of the National Press Photographers Association.
